Apache eyes $10 billion investment in Australian gas projects

Apache plans to spend more than $10 billion in Australia in the next half decade to take advantage of increasing natural gas demand. Twelve percent of the company's 2010 production came from its Australian projects. "Australia historically has been a low gas price place to operate for Apache, but that's fixing to change," said Thomas Maher, vice president of Apache's Australian unit.
