Event raises money for pet-food pantry

About 400 people attended a doggie ice cream social in Fort Worth, Texas, raising $5,000 to help dog owners who can't afford pet food. "A lot of organizations assist with veterinarian care and vaccinations, and we love those organizations," said Liesl Manone, operational director of the Don't Forget to Feed Me Pet Food Pantry. "But all that doesn't matter" if people can't feed their pets, she added.
