Mandatory-retirement rules spark Mendes & Mount exodus

Seven partners and 17 other lawyers have left Mendes & Mount after failing to overturn the firm's mandatory-retirement policy. The departing lawyers, who will begin an aviation-law firm, had reportedly been angered by the firm's refusal to change house rules that require partners to retire at 65.
