For this tech-savvy generation, cracked and even shattered cellphone screens bring a type of "street cred" that came with wearing ripped jeans for earlier generations. "It's this total trend, because it's not like we're rushing out to get them fixed," said Brittany Lofton, 23. "A cracked screen is, like, this really cool scar."
