Employers consider skinny benefit plans to avoid ACA penalties

Minimal benefit plans that offer preventive services but little more are being promoted as a way for employers to comply with the Affordable Care Act without incurring penalties, experts say. It's not clear whether such plans will pass muster with regulators. "What I'm telling people is, this may work, but you better have a Plan B," says Andrew Ky Haynes, a benefits lawyer.
