Goodby will open Detroit office to handle Chevy business

General Motors confirmed that Goodby, Silverstein & Partners will take over creative responsibilities for all of Chevrolet's advertising, as was reported Thursday. The assignment includes sponsorship and retail spots, duties that previously were expected to remain with Campbell-Ewald. The San Francisco-based ad shop will be opening a Detroit office -- its first satellite office in 27 years of operation.
