One-third of wine drinkers, restaurants care about sustainability

About 34% of wine drinkers consider environmentally friendly or sustainable attributes when deciding which wines to purchase, and about 37% of retail and restaurant chains do too, according to studies sponsored by the Wine Institute. The studies also found that two-thirds of consumers said they use labels and information on the shelf or in the store to identify whether wines have eco-friendly or sustainable attributes at the point of purchase.
