Republicans bicker over how to fund disaster relief

Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla., said Monday that he would use federal relief funds for the state's tornado-recovery efforts as leverage in the effort to force Democrats to curb spending on Social Security and Medicare. Coburn's comments were rebuffed by House Appropriations Committee Chairman Hal Rogers, R-Ky., who said the nation still had unspent disaster-relief funds and that no offsetting would be necessary.
