Study associates depression with hypoglycemic episodes

A study published in the Annals of Family Medicine found depression was linked to the timing of first severe hypoglycemic episode and number of episodes in adult patients with diabetes, according to researchers. Patients with depression had shorter severe hypoglycemic episodes but also had more of them compared with patients who were not depressed, the study found.
