Survey: African-Americans say financial firms' support is lacking

More than half of African-Americans said they could benefit from working with a financial adviser, but only 19% said they have an adviser, while just 26% think that financial firms have "effectively engaged and shown support for the African-American community," according to a Prudential survey. The survey also found that African-Americans think the financial services industry is more trustworthy than does the overall population.
