High court: Union reps may represent members in ADEA disputes

The U.S. Supreme Court ruled that unions have the authority under the National Labor Relations Act to negotiate binding dispute resolutions for their members even if the disputes pertain to the Age Discrimination in Employment Act. The 5-4 decision was written by Associate Justice Clarence Thomas.
