Common core continues to face opposition in Kansas

Lawmakers in Kansas could revive a push to stop the implementation of the Common Core State Standards, adopted in 2010 by state officials, and the Next Generation Science Standards, expected to be adopted this year. The renewed push comes after a proposal to cut off state funding for both initiatives was removed from the state's budget.
