Experts: Easiest way to fail at creating a viral video is to set out to do so

Advertisers working to develop the perfect online-video campaign should worry less about creating a product that will go viral and more about engaging potential customers on an emotional level, experts say. Oscar Prat, managing director of OgilvyOne Singapore, said at an industry event that focusing solely on creating a viral video is a "desperate measure" that risks ignoring variables such as emotional responses that propel a video to become viral.
