Fat-derived stem cells may be more potent than marrow cells

Stem cells collected from bone marrow and fat tissue showed comparable abilities to regulate the immune system, but adipose-derived stem cells were effective at lower doses, according to in vitro research from the Netherlands. The study was published in Stem Cells Translational Medicine.
