FCC's band plans are disconnected from the industry, NAB and AT&T say

There appears to be a "disconnect" over the spectrum auction band plan between the Federal Communications Commission and broadcasters and wireless providers that will be most affected by the proceeding, according to a joint blog post by NAB and AT&T. The FCC is considering one alternative repacking plan that "has absolutely no support in the record" and another that is based on a "technological approach contrary to the one proposed by the majority of U.S. carriers," according to the post.
