Senate committee OKs bipartisan immigration reform

The Senate Judiciary Committee passed a bipartisan immigration reform bill Tuesday, sending the bill to the full Senate for a vote in early June. If passed, the bill would provide resources and goals for border security, require the use of a federal database to verify employees' legal statuses, set a path for legalizing people currently in the U.S. illegally, and establish new annual caps and regulations for high- and low-skill temporary worker visas.
