Users who engage in TV-related social media activities do so more for functional reasons than for purely socializing, Viacom research shows. Among the 11 most popular weekly TV-related social media activities are: looking for show schedules, interacting with friends and fans, sharing or recommending, viewing clips and trailers, following and liking a TV show, playing games, and registering for freebies.
