U.S. digital travel sales are projected to increase an average of 5.36% through 2017, according to an eMarketer report. Growth will slow over that time, however, and travel sales will continue to lose its share of overall digital sales as other e-commerce markets mature, the report said. A separate study showed the Web remains a critical tool for travelers, with 81% researching travel online before making a purchase and 74% ultimately booking online.
