Home urine test can check patients' insulin rates, study finds

Home urine tests can check the insulin production of patients with type 1 and type 2 diabetes, according to a British study in Diabetes Care. Experts said urine tests can help gauge endogenous insulin production, distinguish type 1 from type 2 diabetes and detect rare forms of diabetes. The findings may help improve diabetes treatments, researchers added.
