Will the loss of school librarians harm students' digital skills?:

Several education groups are urging Los Angeles school officials to reverse their decision to eliminate the jobs of the district's teacher-librarians. The groups say the librarians play a crucial role in teaching digital literacy and 21st-century skills to students. "School librarians are there to guide students through the Information Age, and these things don't come naturally," said Nancy Everhart, president of the American Association of School Librarians.
