Survey explores imaging professionals' compensation

Male radiologists, radiology administrators and radiologic technologists have higher average salaries than their female counterparts, according to AuntMinnie.com's annual SalaryScan survey. The gender gap in radiology, however, is somewhat better than the overall gender disparity across professions in the U.S. RTs who specialize in nuclear medicine and PET are paid more than those with other specializations, with an average base salary of $76,181. Average base salary for nuclear medicine physicians is $334,475.
