Personal lives guide women to branch out with franchises

As women continue filling the ranks of franchisees, more are selecting non-traditional endeavors that more closely align with their personal lives, according to experts including Sonya Brathwaite, director of diversity and emerging markets for the International Franchise Association. Women now operate franchises in all industries, including automotive and repair services -- not just those typically associated with women, such as child care, d cor and food services, Brathwaite said.
