MSRB to clarify proposed restrictions on muni adviser gifts

The Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board plans to file with the Securities and Exchange Commission regarding several of the board's rules. For example, the MSRB revised its amendments to Rule G-20 to clarify a proposal to restrict gratuities and gifts to municipal bond advisers. The MSRB also plans filings on Rule G-36 regarding muni advisers' fiduciary duty, and Rule G-17, which pertains to fair dealing guidance for muni underwriters and advisers.
