Some cockroaches show growing immunity to roach traps

Some German cockroaches appear to have developed an aversion to glucose, rendering traps baited with the sweet substance ineffective. Researchers discovered that those roaches passed that trait to their offspring. While it may save the insects' lives, scientists say glucose-averse roaches reproduce and grow more slowly.
