CEO proposes $900M development project for Baltimore

Greater Baltimore Committee CEO Donald Fry has unveiled plans for a $900 million project to redevelop Baltimore's Inner Harbor. The proposal calls for construction of an 18,500-seat arena, a 500-room hotel and a 760,000-square-foot expanded convention center. Fry and Whiting-Turner Contracting CEO Willard Hackerman plan to create a private partnership to fund the construction of the hotel and the arena, while GBC will ask the governments of Maryland and Baltimore to help pay for the convention center's expansion.
