Study: Home-based therapy is more beneficial for stroke patients

Stroke patients had improvements in walking ability, regardless of whether they had formal rehabilitation training or home-exercise therapy, according to a study in the New England Journal of Medicine. Researchers learned that patients who exercised at home had fewer minor events and noted that home-based exercise resulted in better patient compliance and lower costs.
