New York courts finalize approval for advertising restrictions

New York state's four presiding justices of appellate division departments have cleared a final version of advertising restrictions first proposed in 2006. Under the rules, lawyers must wait 30 days after an accident before using ads to solicit potential clients, and ads cannot be used to depict a "fictitious law firm."
