Republican lawmakers ask HHS to withdraw ACO proposal

Seven Republican senators are urging HHS to pull its proposal on accountable care organizations, saying the mandates are too complicated, the model does not align accountability with incentives and there's no guarantee for return on investment. The rule should be retooled in such a way that will help satisfy the goals of "better care at lower costs," the lawmakers said in a letter.
