Sureties take note: Lawyer advocates bonds as a recourse for construction defects

Half of U.S. states don't consider construction defects as occurrences that liability insurers are required to cover, and these and other changes are making insurance policies increasingly less comprehensive. A lawyer argues that the trend makes the role of surety bonds even more important in protecting property owners and buyers from construction defects. His suggestions may concern sureties.
