Indiana airport launches $153M expansion

The Gary-Chicago International Airport in northwestern Indiana has started work on a long-awaited $153 million expansion. The project will lengthen the airport's main runway and includes a $7.1 million headquarters for the Gary Jet Center. The expansion is expected to take more than two years, and it could generate about 1,000 jobs.
