Women seek more significant breast augmentations

The number of women undergoing breast augmentation rose 39% between 2000 and 2010, according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the trend seems to be toward larger cup size. "The women in my practice used to go a cup size larger. But now about half my patients want to go two cup sizes larger," plastic surgeon and ASPS President Phil Haeck said. Greater social acceptance of cosmetic procedures may be driving the trend, Haeck said.
