Pediatrics report encourages more motor skills screening

Pediatricians should screen children for delays in motor development at 9, 18, 30 and 48 months, according to an American Academy of Pediatrics clinical report. The report outlined motor development skills that children should have at each specified age. "The AAP... recognized that we as a profession weren't necessarily doing a good job screening for motor problems," AAP's Dr. Garey Noritz said.
