U.K. children increasingly prefer smartphones

Although the proportion of U.K. children age 11 or younger using mobile phones is expected to remain under 20% over the next few years, the proportion of mobile phone users in that age group who have smartphones is projected to roughly double to 72.4% by 2017. The preference for smart devices raises questions about plans for introducing limited-function devices tailored for young mobile users, this article says.
