CEO: DuPont to cut $1 billion in costs, continue differentiation

DuPont wants to reduce costs by $1 billion this year while stepping up its agricultural, safety and biofuels businesses, CEO Ellen Kullman said. "Even with this recession, we believe it is very important to differentiate ourselves in the marketplace," Kullman said. The company expects to add back about 30% of the cuts once the economy improves.
