New York Law nets $20 million gift in bid to double faculty

A single gift has catapulted New York Law School a fifth of the way toward its seven-year fundraising goal of $100 million. The $20 million donation -- one of the 20 largest donations in law-school history -- came from The Starr Foundation and will help the school double its faculty and expand its endowment, officials said.
