Family caregivers benefit when dementia patients get day services

A Pennsylvania State University survey found that on days when elderly dementia patients got adult day services their family caregivers were less stressed. The research in The Gerontologist indicated that caregivers had less anger and that day care reduced the effect of noncare-related stressors on depression symptoms.
