Survey: 73% of ICU patients still have pain a year after discharge

A survey of about 300 ICU patients in the U.K. found 73% had moderate to severe pain up to a year after hospital discharge and about 25% needed help washing and dressing for months. The study in the journal Critical Care said 44% of patients reported being anxious or depressed and two-thirds had problem with walking six months after discharge.
