VA health center, clinics in N.D. use telehealth to reach more vets

Telemedicine is increasingly being used by the Fargo Veterans Affairs Medical Center in North Dakota and its outreach clinics to boost their ability to reach patients in rural areas. Telemedicine visits exceeded 700 in the first three weeks of May compared with 500 visits in April. To offer health care to more patients, the VA center will also open its 10th community-based outreach clinic by the end of the year, Chief of Staff Dr. J. Brian Hancock said.
