Children with ADHD don't process emotional memories as well

Children with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder had less activity in brain regions responsible for the consolidation of emotional memories during sleep than healthy children and adults, according to a study in the journal PLoS ONE. Researchers noted that the emotional processing deficit could lead to more emotional problems in children with ADHD.
