Fla. district reconfigures gifted-education program

Beginning in the fall, all 72 elementary schools in Pinellas County, Fla., will offer gifted programs onsite in an effort to reduce the amount of class time some students miss while riding a bus to one of 11 gifted-education centers. Educators currently teaching at the centers will be transferred to the new in-house programs.
