Global design firms discuss innovations in architecture

Architecture firms from around the world convened at the University of Melbourne in Australia to discuss the latest innovations in the industry, including the use of precast concrete, modular design and technology. New York-based SHoP Architects' expertise with modular building has been central to its growth, said SHoP Architects Director Greg Pasquarelli. “You can get a lot more architecture (and design) for every dollar you spend,” he said of SHoP’s modular technology. SHoP's current projects include the B2 tower, which will be the world's highest modular structure upon completion.
