House Dems begin push to tell public about ACA benefits

An outreach effort is being launched by House Democrats in advance of the Oct. 1 start of enrollment in health insurance exchanges under the Affordable Care Act. Democratic leaders are providing lawmakers with information to be shared on how to sign up for coverage, and members are being asked to assign district office staffers as contacts on the law. "We're working closely with the House and Senate to educate members and the public about the benefits of the Affordable Care Act and the opening of the marketplaces in the fall," senior White House communications adviser Tara McGuinness said.
