Biotech crops in India move closer to final approval

India's biotechnology secretary says biotech versions of brinjal, mustard and potato crops are awaiting large-field trials prior to approval for commercial sale. The secretary says data from recent rounds of field tests were favorable and the larger field trials are expected to be approved for the crops' next growing season.
