Will Europe's rules on soybeans spread internationally?

American soybean farmers are worried that new EU labor and environmental standards on crops used to make biofuels could spread to the U.S. Soybeans grown in the U.S. will no longer qualify as a feedstock for European biodiesel. The EU is requiring certain greenhouse-gas limits and that exporters be able to trace products to the source farm.
