8 books for educators to read this summer

Educator and journalist Mark Phillips in this blog post suggests eight books and one film for educators to check out over the summer. His suggestions include the book, "The Dimensions of Engaged Teaching: A Practical Guide for Educators," by Laura Weaver and Mark Wilding, which aims to help teachers connect students' emotions to instruction, as well as the young-adult novel, "The Fifth Wave," by Rick Yancey, to gain insight on what students may be reading.
