Hospice groups offer end-of-life care to homeless people

Attorney Christine Schanes advocates for end-of-life care for homeless people to ensure they do not die on the streets. Homeless people taken to hospitals for end-of-life care can be discharged, but groups such as the Alpha Project Hospice Program and the San Diego Hospice and Institute for Palliative Care work to make sure these patients get compassionate care, Schanes writes.
