Farm children gain protection against allergies

Research showed people who spent the first five years of life on a farm were 20% less likely to suffer symptoms of allergies from ages 16 through 75. The study, which included 18,087 people in Sweden, showed people in the most urban areas had the highest risk of allergic rhinitis, at 28%, compared with 23% for rural residents.
