Diabetes experts link high coronary calcium scores with risk of death

Data on 1,051 people with diabetes found that coronary artery calcium scores higher than 100 were associated with a greater mortality risk. The findings in Diabetes Care suggest that CAC scores could predict mortality rates in high-risk patients, experts said.
