Analysis: Global device market outpaces drug-sector growth

Though the medical-device market is only about half of the global drug market's relative size, it is growing at a faster rate than the drug market, Michael Rosen writes in this article. The global device market, which is estimated to reach $336 billion in sales this year, faces fewer challenges than its drug or biotech counterparts because of shorter product development schedules and lower FDA-approval risk, Rosen said.
