White House to nominate FCC's McDowell for another term

Looking for some continuity as the Federal Communications Commission transitions to new leadership, the Democratic administration of President Barack Obama has announced it will nominate Republican Commissioner Robert McDowell for another term. McDowell, who was appointed by the George W. Bush administration, has been instrumental in designing the rules that regulate the wireless and broadband industries.
